Sexuality has been reduced through cultural messages to mean little more than acts of sex. Join us as we discuss the impacts of this narrowing definition and explore how we work towards a broader, more holistic definition that recognizes sexuality as a key aspect of ourselves and how we experience the world around us. We will talk about how gender, intimacy, sexual health, reproductive choices, and sensuality all fit within the concept of sexuality and discuss tensions with mainstream cultural messages. Participants will share ideas with each other about how we can nurture a more holistic sense of our sexuality in a world filled with narrowing messages.
